Misty MacDuffee

Former Research Associate

Misty MacDuffee joined the Eco-Research Chair as a Research Associate from March 1997 until December 1999. Her work at POLIS focused on the development of both an urban watershed restoration and stewardship program, and a provincial plan for long-term sustainable land-use policy. She helped create the Association of Rural Communities (ARC) and coordinated the Hagan Creek-KENNES Watershed Project since it began in 1997. Misty completed her degree in environmental science and biology at Trent University. As a Forest Campaigner for the Western Canada Wilderness Committee, Misty spent several years advocating for wilderness protection and the reform of BC's forest policy, both locally and internationally.
