Bernette Laliberté

Bernette Laliberté joined POLIS in the Fall of 2007 to undertake a research apprenticeship with Dr. Kelly Bannister through the LE,NONET (pronounced le-non-git) program. She is working on the Chemainus Biodiversity Education Project and helping to develop educational materials to facilitate using nature as an “outdoor classroom."

Bernette is in her final year of an undergraduate degree in Biology at UVic. Her studies have been quite broad “from protists to mammals.” She enjoys being in the outdoors and helping others learn about the diverse world that exists and the need to help it thrive. Upon completing her biology program, she hopes to go on to graduate school in the field of marine life.
